Vertical Media Mill

Schold's High Speed Shot Mill (HSSM) is a sealed, high-speed, continuous small media mill designed for deagglomerating, dispersing and milling a wide range of materials, including paints, inks, dyestuffs, adhesives, foods, pharmaceuticals and other similar fluids. Operating under internal pressure, the HSSM can handle materials with high viscosities or thixotropy, as well as moisture and air-sensitive materials. The problems of solvent losses and product drying on the filter are eliminated and higher production rates become possible, as opposed to open mills, ball or pebble mills and, in many instances, three-roll mills. Since the grinding mill is removable, rapid color or media changes can be effected through the use of a spare chamber.

Horizontal Media Mill

Schold's newer horizontal mills are among the industry favorite for small media mills that offer quick and easy clean out between batches. The chamber is designed on rails to be easily removed and the media catch pan is built in as part of the frame.  With a spare charge of shot, change over time is significantly reduced.  Similar to our vertical mills, the horizontal mill is designed for deagglomerating, dispersing and milling a wide range of materials, including paints, inks, dyestuffs, adhesives, food, pharmaceuticals and other similar fluids. Operating under internal pressure, the horizontal mill can handle materials with high viscosities or thixotropy, as well as moisture and air-sensitive materials.

In-Line Mill

The Schold In-Line Disperser Mill is a rotor stator mill, designed for dispersing, deagglomerating, homogenizing and milling inks, coatings, paper coatings, chemicals, foods, pharmaceuticals and similar products, in high volumes. The In-Line Disperser Mill has also been used very successfully as a pre-mill in the dyestuffs industries. The Schold In-Line Disperser Mill should be considered wherever a colloid mill, homogenizer or Disperser is used. The In-Line Disperser Mill consists of specially designed saw tooth blades rotating at over 8000 peripheral feet per minute within a very closely sized, jacketed chamber, in order to induce intense shear and pressure on the product being pumped through the mill via a variable speed feed pump.
