Variable High Speed Dispersers

Our capability is measured in terms of the range of tough jobs our dispersers can handle. We build them to give life-long, trouble-free operation in the most difficult of operations. Each variable high speed disperser delivers full-rated torque horsepower to the shaft throughout its entire speed range.

Speeds are varied by a simple mechanical control allowing precise speed changes for viscosity, varying levels, aeration control, additions of solids, and multiple speed operations. Tapered and polished shafts are used in all SCHOLD dispersers to provide vibration-free operation and facilitate rapid and complete cleaning. Bearing housings contain two heavy-duty sealed bearings with large bearing span to insure shaft stability.

Each SCHOLD disperser is built to be raised and lowered by plant air over a hydraulic system.

Designed to consider the relevant human factors, SCHOLD dispersers have their controls 10-cated so that one man can operate the units from the most advantageous position.

The tapered and polished mixing shaft is made from a high-strength steel alloy with a CORTEN high-strength steel sawtooth agitator blade. Alternate shaft and blade styles and materials are available.

SCHOLD can supply a wide choice of mixing vessels to meet your precise specifications, as well as tank covers that will raise and lower with the disperser. Multi-vessel capability is one more option you may wish to consider.

Other options include an adjustable air-operated tub holder to assure maximum security in holding the vessel under high-speed operation. High tensile strength chain is used, in conjunction with an air-locking cylinder, to accommodate varying tub diameters. Tachometers and ampmeters can be added to monitor speed and power consumption, assuring optimum performance batch after batch. Explosion-proof push-button stations and combination starters in NEMA 1 or explosionproof enclosures can also be provided, either factory mounted or shipped separately for field installation at your convenience. Tank mounted units are available.

***WARNING SAFETY STATEMENT***
As in all machinery, it is imperative that proper safety procedures training and supervision should be maintained.

Under no circumstance should the machine be cleaned, wiped, maintained or tampered with while shafts are rotating or with electrical power connected.

Electrical hardware, connections, wires and floor mountings must be periodically checked and, if necessary, repaired.

Schold Research & Development, Inc.
A continuing and ongoing research and test program is carried out at teh Schold Research & Development Centers. We welcome your tests of our equipment at one of our Research Centers and, with special arrangements, test equipment can be made available for 'in-plant' testing.
