Heavy Duty Lab/Pilot Dispersers
VLS-200 and VHS-200 Models

Here, at last, is a continuous heavy-duty series of lab/pilot dispersers capable of handling 1- through 5-gallon batches in the widest speed range possible. Unlike light, single-purpose lab dispersers, these units are designed and constructed specifically for small order departments and scale-up purposes.

Both the VLS and VHS 200 Series feature wide speed ranges capable of performing at the same optimum peripheral blade speeds as our larger production models the VLS from 150 to 1325 RPM, and the VHS from 1260 to 6300 RPM.

The constant torque 3 HP, 230/460 volt, 3-phase, 60 Hz, multilabel explosion-proof motor is the most powerful ever offered.

The combination of high horsepower, widest speed range, high peripheral speeds, and constant torque provides the flexibility required for handling the most difficult dispersion and blending jobs there are.

Both units come standard with 304 stainless steel shafts and blades The VHS features two high-shear blades and a precision taper-turned agitator shaft for sustained high-speed, smooth operation The VLS features a heavy-duty, straight-cut agitator shaft with a large bottom journal for the 8” or 10” blade hub Other types of axial or radial flow turbine blades are available for the VLS.

Both units utilize the combination of a spring-loaded and a mechanical van-speed drive with wide speed range through an intermediate jack-shaft for additional torque Speed is easily adjusted by mechanical handwheel through our unique Schold adjuster.

The easily adjusted tub holder is tightened mechanically and rides along on the mixing pot base Unlike other units, the base raises and lowers on a teflon-lined column By raising and lowering the mixing pot not the mixing head a much more rigid assembly is assured Rigidity is just as important as a high-quality power transmission assembly.

The diameter of the adjustable holder is easily adjusted for varying sized pots, as is the speed at which it can be raised or lowered The station features double needle and seat flow controls for ajustment of incoming and outgoing air supply Inter¬nal air cushions on either side of the J. I. C. -approved pneumatic 14” stroke, double-action cylinder assure smoother operation, eliminate hard stops and slamming into the home position.

Mechanical ball valve and backup hand screw stop allow the tub to be held in any vertical position.

The large, heavy-duty 24” x 24” base assures rigid mounting on the floor or bench top.

Series 200 Lab/Pilot Dispersers are ideal for processing small batch volumes of flush pigment, printing ink, caulks, coatings, resins, stains, sdi-cones, body fillers, marine puthes, adhesives, and many other products.

Like all Schold products, the VLS and VHS dispersers provide the maximum in flexibility, durability, and power require the minimum in maintenance.

***WARNING SAFETY STATEMENT***
As in all machinery, it is imperative that proper safety procedures training and supervision should be maintained.

Under no circumstance should the machine be cleaned, wiped, maintained or tampered with while shafts are rotating or with electrical power connected.

Electrical hardware, connections, wires and floor mountings must be periodically checked and, if necessary, repaired.
