Heavy Duty High Speed Dispersers
Model 500/600 Series
Schold 500 and 600 Series VHS Dispersers... 25 through 60 HP... are designed to handle a wide range of materials of varying viscosities common to the coatings, ink, dye, chemical and adhesive industries.
This series offers a wide speed range... from 700 to 2800 RPM for maximum flexibility of operation in small to large batches... infinitely variable speed by mechanical hand wheel control. Pneumatic and hydraulic controls are available as an option.
VHS Series Dispersers are based on Schold’s field-proven heavy-duty, high-speed disperser design, featuring our precision tapered and turned tool steel agitator shaft for a high-efficiency, more stable dispersion operation. The rugged frame and gusseted base and bearing housing assure extreme stability at higher speeds for tough batching production.
Piston rises of 45” and 54” (56” on VHS 600) are standard. Others are available. Other features include a two-piece cylinder for easier maintenance; a wider bearing spread in the hydraulic ram assembly; easily replaceable double torque rod bearings; high quality brass hand and foot valves with two-action operation for safety; and heavy-duty piloted flange bearings for longer, more continuous service at high speeds.
A 3” OD precision, taper-turned agitator shaft with .003” TIR max. shaft run-out and 8” or 10” clamp and drive flanges is standard on VHS 500 models. VHS 600 models feature a 3 1/2" OD shaft. Two high-speed blades are supplied on all models.
VHS Series Dispersers are designed to satisfy the needs of nearly every high-speed application. However, Schold engineers can easily modify existing designs to fit specific needs, or design and build custom equipment for specialized applications.
Longer life and more dependable performance are your best assurance of more efficient, troublefree operation. Schold products have a history of dependability second to none.
